US Military Landing Monument
A monument in Baba Park, Sunabe, to commemorate the spot where the U.S. troops landed in 1945 and the only ground battle on the Japanese soil began. The relief depicts a mourning mother in a trench with a dead child on her arms, a rushing tank, and a figure of a soldier.
